Sceptre X505BV-FSR, 50 inch TV

Sceptre X505BV-FSR it the TV for those interesting in something cheap and with great image quality. The diagonal is 50 inch (49.5 to be exact) and gives the best image possible because of the 1080p resolution.

Sceptre X505BV-FSR, 50 inch TV

This X505BV-FSR TV from Sceptre has a good price. If you don’t know many things about the brand Sceptre (Incorporated) than you must know that it’s an US based one. This brand was founded in ’84 in California and buying products from this it you sustain the US economy.

Benefits

It can be mounted on a wall because of the 200×200 mount pattern.
The screen is the best having a big diagonal and great viewing angles. We talk about 178/178 degrees that are the viewing angles of IPS panels.
The usage is very simple because of the fact that it’s not a smart TV. In the box you get the TV and the remote control.
The TV has MEMC 120 that will deliver the double number o frames compared to 60Hz. I should mention that MEMC is software image enhacement and that the default refresh rate is 60Hz … as in any television.

Downsides

The sound is good but it’s only 2.0. For better sound you better connect a 2.1 or 5.1 audio system.
The software is not smart, but you can make the TV smart by connecting a media player or Chromecast.
It has no wi-fi, but as said above you can make it smart with a stick or something like it.

Verdict

For those interested in a good TV for the living room I recommend this Sceptre X505BV FSR. There are other alternatives, even with better specs and smart soft, but I recommend this because of the price, ease of use and good image quality. You don’t need to pay much to own a good TV.

In my opinion there is no need for 4k resolution because from 10 feet you don’t see the difference between 1080p and 4k.
Because of the 3 HDMI ports you can connect many devices including Xbox, PS and a good audio system.
