ASUS VivoBook X540SA-XX345T is a laptop for those who are tight on budget but want a laptop that looks great an can be used for office tasks and HD movies. The X series is a cheap one, but the models reliability because are built with good components and materials.
This model does not cost much because you can afford it even if you have a low budget. So, if you’re a student than this model would be for you. I posted a image so that you can see how good it looks like.
The portability is good because of the 1.8 kg weight and the battery that lasts up to 8 hours (says the manufacturer). This good battery life was achieved with components taht are power efficient (the DDR3L RAM memory, the processor and the LED screen).
The processor of this Asus X540SA-XX345T is a Pentium N3700 with 4 cores that score 1872 points in benchmark. The 4 cores are more for power efficiency than for performance.
The RAM memory is sufficient because it has 8 GB of RAM. In my opinion you don’t need to upgrade it.
On the storage part it has 1000 GB and the storage is on a HDD. (It would have been better if it was an SSD. But, nobody stops you if you want tto replace the HDD with a Solid State Drive.)
The screen does not have FHD resolution and it isn’t one with IPS panel. In my opinion, HD resolutions is ok for a 15,6 screen, but I wouldn’t say no to a model with 4K or FHD (like the x556ua).
The processor could have been an i3 model or even i7. The better the processor the better the laptop, but if you use it for Facebook or simple tasks that it makes no sense to invest too much money in it.
The screen is not with touch controls. As you might know, Windows 10 has full suport for touch,
This model is one of the best on the market if you search for a laptop suitable for Internet browsing and HD movies.
From the below clip you can see better how it looks like.
