The Acer Predator Triton 700 PT715-51-7844 has the most advanced specs on the market in a 2.4 kg construction. Some gamers might say it’s an ultrabook because it’s small, thin and light. Even though it seems to be one of the most expensive models, it has a very good 8GB GTX 1080 video card, a Core i7 HQ processor, a large SSD storage, a 120 Hz IPS display. It is said that the thicker laptops have the best cooling systems, well, this one has Dual AeroBlade 3D fans. This laptop doesn’t need any upgrades, because it has enough memory and other components can’t be changed (CPU and GPU).
Its RGB keyboard is great for everything (typing, gaming) and its quite reliable. The screen is very important when playing, because the refresh rate can improve the game score (more fluid image). The keyboard it’s much closer to the user because there is no touchpad. Nobody uses it, most gamer s chose a good gaming mouse with high precision and programmable buttons. Most games run at max settings, depending how well they are optimized. The GTX 1080 is a Max-Q model for lower power usage and decent running temperature (framerate remains the same for many hours).
Some of its components are also available on more accessible laptops, but to play certain games, a much better video card like the GTX 1080 is needed. The screen isn’t very large, but you can connect for a video playback, for example. If you don’t travel with it, you can consider even a 17 inch gaming laptop from the same brand (Predator 17 X).
Acer PT715-51-7844 costs a lot, but I do not think it has too much competition when you have to have a compact gadget. If you’re not 100% convinced that this is the ideal laptop, look to see what other alternatives are on the market in your budget. You can choose the one with GTX 1060 because it’s much cheaper and you probably don’t need more GPU performance. This is the main difference between them, then what are you waiting for?
